About Right To dream Academy

Right To Dream began in 1999 on a small-scale as a single not-for-profit football academy that trained just a few boys on a dust pitch in Accra, Ghana.

Since then, a new $2.5million purpose-built facility was launched in 2010, a fully residential international school which has continued to grow its offering of scholarships to talented children drawn from all over Africa.

Right To Dream players and student-athletes receive the best possible development experiences to give them the best chance of reaching their maximum potential via the academy model through education, football and most importantly in developing their character to the fullest.

How we work

We work every day to give our players and student-athletes the best possible development experiences, and to give them the best chance of reaching their maximum potential via our academics through education, football and most importantly in developing their character to the fullest.

Holistic Talent Identification & Development Model
We believe talent and excellence can be found anywhere, and its equality of opportunity, not talent, that is the main obstacle to discovery. So, we designed a model that fits this simple yet powerful idea; a model which focuses on three elements in finding and nurturing potential:

  • Football Talent
  • Cognitive Ability
  • Character & Purpose

Academies
Our treasured starting point. The place where we dared to say that “everyone has the right to dream”. Founded more than 20 years ago, the Right to Dream academy in Ghana was our first step towards realizing the potential of talented youth and the next generation of leaders. Now, academies in Denmark and Egypt join our family, and together we prove that excellence can be found anywhere.

Gender: Mixed

Professional Football
How we made the world take notice. Our clubs are the first place in professional football where many of our graduates express themselves and their purpose. But they are more than that: they are engine rooms for our communities and fans to connect with the soul of the game, where dreams come true.
FC Nordsjælland is the first professional club within the Right To Dream Group. A club with a well-regarded culture rooted in a desire to develop young talent, and build a distinctive style of play and philosophy.

Education Network
We are lucky to have some of the world’s best high schools, colleges and universities as our partners.

Together, we are providing opportunities and scholarships for talented youth to grow to become the next generation of leaders.
