Description

NBSSI (National Board for Small Scale Industries) was established by the Government of Ghana by Act 434 of Parliament in 1981 as the apex governmental body for the promotion and development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in Ghana.

NBSSI has its Head Office in Accra, 16 regional secretariats in all the regions of Ghana and 185 district offices known as Business Advisory Centres (BACs). The regional secretariats supervise the activities of the Projects Unit and BACs within the region. There are plans to establish offices in all districts to bring our services to the doorsteps of all entrepreneurs in the country. Districts that do not yet have offices are served by the BAC in the nearest district.

The vision of NBSSI is to create a vibrant entrepreneurial economy by fostering the growth and development of
MSMEs.

Its mission is to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs by facilitating the provision of business development
programs and integrated support services.
